Financial and Technical Reporting
The Grant Agreement specifies what reports you are required to submit and how often. You need to use the templates prepared by the donor organization. In the case of Horizon 2020, you need to upload the technical and financial reports to an online system called the Participant Portal. If you are delayed with a submission of a report, that will, of course, delay the next periodic payment you expect to receive.
The same goes if the Project Officer or the Financial Officer requests you to clarify an issue in your reports. When they flag an issue, their deadline is suspended and the payments may become delayed. It is therefore very important to make sure beneficiaries are aware of the reporting requirements and their deadlines as well as the impact of non-compliance.
